What we do
Laser Cutting
This is a process where we use a powerful but extremely precise beam of light aka the laser beam to cut, melt, burn or vaporise away material leaving a high-quality finished edge. By controlling the power and speed of the beam, we can also engrave a variety of material surfaces with an extremely high level of detail.
CNC Machining
This is a process where we use a computer controlled router which has been given a series of code to cut and engrave materials using different types of router bits. This process is most commonly used to cut thicker materials or produce larger-scale projects, and can also be used to create a variety of interesting 3D surface finishes.

Who we are
Hey! We are Sarah and Aaron, two Architecture Graduates who love to make, design and create and want to help others do the same.
We realised that there wasn’t a space in Glasgow where people could go to share ideas, be creative and just go to make stuff. So, we started This Is Makers with the goal of creating a friendly and helpful facility where people can bring their smallest and biggest ideas to life.
